98-366: Networking Fundamentals

Replacing a T1 with a VPN connection. I thought I was beginning to get the hang of routing until today. I am testing the feasibility of replacing a T1 with a VPN over DSL at a remote branch office. The idea was to get the VPN connection going, which was successful, and then just static route the traffic over the connection to evaluate it. 4 T1 -Multilink - Cisco Community Experts , Our ISP has provided with a sample configuration to setup a point to point Multilink T1 connection btw two office's. controller T1 0/0 framing esf clock source line primary linecode b8zs channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24 speed 64 ! controller T1 0/1 framing esf linecode b8zs channel-group 0 Cisco 2800 Series CISCO2821 Wired Router w/ WIC-1DSU-T1-V2

Also there's the reliability issue - T1 should not go down as often, and you'll have a much better SLA that gives you priority if it does go down. The VPN definitely has a cost advantage if speed becomes a non-issue and it won't be a big deal if it the line goes down for some time.
