The speed checker during the evening might take 10 - 30 seconds to actually show a curve. Once it gets going, it reports the same speed as during the day. So it seems Telstra will then claim the speed is OK during the evening. My definition of speed includes any latency. For user that's what's important, not just the download speed during a burst.
